God Wink 2

As I was looking for earrings to place in my second piercing this afternoon I looked in a small circular tin of oldy but goody earrings I have on hand from when I was a child. I haven't looked in this tin in years upon years as I don't typically have a need for teddy bear or disco ball or snoopy earrings but I had a minute to look and something propelled me toward the selection of cast offs. Feeling nostalgic I popped open the lid and out sprung a vintage tiny silver mushroom stud. I quickly shook out his mate and am proudly sporting them as I type. Coincidence?

Sadness and Worry

Sadness and worry.
Worry and sadness.
The circle 'round my waist.
I wear them on my hips
my lips
and
my heart.
Afraid.
They drape across my shoulder and whisper in my ear
hiding and reappearing 
like horrid forest elves and no good wood nymphs
and inky fairies of doom and gloom.
Go away, I think.
Migrate and fly, I think, 
But I have built them a warm fire and invited them in and poured them my most
delectable tea.
I have offered them my pens and my pads and my drink. 
Velvet clad sad and soft dhurrie worry, leave or stay and help me scrawl.
